Common questions

Direct, plain answers. No marketing copy.

How much does a typical garden project cost?

Mid-spec hard landscaping typically £180–£320 per square metre. A full 80m² redesign with planting and lighting usually £20k–£35k. Pools and water features priced separately.

Will I need planning permission for landscaping?

Most landscaping is permitted development, but raised decking close to a boundary, retaining walls > 1m near a highway, and hardstanding > 5m² of impermeable surface near the front of a property may need consent.

When is the best time to start landscaping?

Hard landscaping runs year-round. Soft landscaping (planting) is better Mar–May or Sep–Nov; July–August planting needs heavy watering. Plan the design over winter, build in spring.
